I'm interested in your "Lum Kilby". The only one I have was born in 1901 and was murdered at age 25. His brother William C. Kilby was also murdered. Third brother Robert Whitcomb Kilby was the main star, and was murdered in prison--where he was serving time for murder. They were a pretty bad bunch. But the dates don't match. Must be connected somehow if in Cherokee Co., NC and North Georgia. Same names, same family. Let me know. Should all lead back to Henry Kilby and his wife Mary Harmon, originally of Wilkes Co, NC and who later moved to Haywood Co., NC. From there, further ridge running. Large clan.
