There is a reference to Arthur Kilby (Victoria Cross) on Wikipedia

He was born in Pittville Circus Road, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England in a house called East Hayes which was also known as a Ladies' College. His parents were Sandforth and Alice F. Kilby.

Having looked at the address on the 1881 Census (Head of Household is Mary Ann SCOTT, college principle and her unmarried sister Charlotte Emily Kilby is also listed as resident at East Hayes), it's possible that this branch of the Kilby family may originate from Yorkshire but I think that I saw a reference to Naunton in Gloucestershire.

I would be honoured to have a VC winner in the family, but I think that this Kilby family is a completely separate group to my ancestors in Naunton and Hawling, Gloucestershire. Can anyone confirm this?
