This is a good question and while my database says that Mary Etta Hume was a daughter of John Hume, I find no evidence in my notes to support that statement. In fact, my notes state that the marriage license has not been examined. Only the marriage index.

On the other hand, while two daughters of Armistead and Nancy Hume did marry Kilby men, cousins of your Henry Clay Kilby, I find no evidence that they had a daughter named Mary Etta. So, we are on a hunt I suppose.
