John and Elizabeth (KILBY) Vannoy both died and are buried in Kilby Cemetery in Pike County, Missouri. I have never figured out how earlier researchers placed them in Moniteau County, Missouri, at least one hundred miles away. (There were Vannoys there much later).

Elizabeth Kilby was a daughter of William Kilby and his wife Frances Eddins. She was born 12 JAN 1777 in Wilkes County, NC. She married John Vannoy in Wilkes County ca 1796, and with him moved to Pike County, MO in the 1820s.

She died there on 25 SEP 1843. John Vannoy died there on 16 April 1855. They had nine known children.
