The cottage in Kilnefrehan is several hundred years old, it originally consisted of a kitchen and another room, it burned twice, the last time in 1927, I believe. Peggy lived there until she died (in her late eighties, I believe) and then the house was sold for taxes. It is quite a charming little place, now.

The best place to look for info to take it from here would be the parish records in Kilgobnet, write to the parish priest. The one we met years ago was very helpful.

The other places to check are: www.dungarvan.com and www.dungarvanmuseum.org/ -- click on GENEALOGY.

John
