Eliza KILGOUR - Scotland - 1800s
Posted by: Tony Smith Date: January 18, 2001 at 14:56:15

Eliza KILGOUR married Thomas BLACK in Dundee, Scotland in 1839. She died in 1898.

On her Death Certificate, Eliza's parents are given as James KILGOUR, butcher and Elizabeth MEW. MEW has also been spelled as MEUX and I suspect also as MOYES.

There is a strong association with the Congregational Church and they do not seem to be recorded in the Scottish Old Parochial Records.

I have not been able to find a birth/baptism record for Eliza or a marriage record for her parents.

Any information most welcome.
