I'm researching the following uncles who went to North America between 1918 and the 1920's and 30's :
1. George Kilgour-died 27 DEC 1918 aged 26 in Calgary
Alberta, Canada, leaving a wife Ethel (neeBarker) and
a child thought to be a daughter.
2. John William Kilgour--- went to Andover to stay with
his sister Alice Wallace in 1923
Returned home to marry Helen Penny in 1924-june 4.
Came back into USA in 1924-Aug. Helen joined him
later. They moved to W.Virginia to a farm. Had 2 sons
Later moved to a bigger farm in Jackson Ohio.John
died in 1980 aged 80.We have lost touch with the
families of his sons. One daughter in law was Nita and
one family of grandchildren were called:Dana,Johnny,
Bobby,Sandra and Alex.I think these may be Sandy's
family.Wonder if Dustin Kilgour who is researching
the same family could be related to Ted Kilgour?
3. Ferguson Kilgour who died in Toronto in 1978.
He married Celia and had 2 children- Margaret and
George last heard of in Toronto,Canada
4. Robert Kilgour-died Mesopotamia in July 1916 aged
21. He was a sergeant in the HLI Highland Light
Infantry. I think he died a prisoner after the
seige at Kut ( south of Bagdhad)

These were all brothers of my father, Stewart born
in 1910 ,the youngest of the family of 10
