Hi Patrick,

I feel I can safely call you Cousin Patrick since I am sure that we are related. My direct family in Ireland lives in Glencastle and around Bangor. Some of their names are Nora Kilker, Peter Kilker, Julia Kilker (whose husband Michael lives on the family homestead in Glencastle) and Julia's daughter Anne. From what my research has uncovered, we live in several areas around the U.S. and have spread out from there. The major locations are Pennsylvania, St. Louis and Denver. My Great Grandfather was James Kilker (his son James was a bootmaker outside Belmullet), my Grandfather was John Kilker and my father was William Kilker. My Grandfather migrated to St. Louis along with two of his brothers, Anthony and Owen. One of their nieces, Ann Cafferkey Cummings, later came to St. Louis. Their mother was Ellen Kilker Cafferkey. In the late 1940's Michael Kilker migrated to St. Louis as well. My wife and I visit the area every year or so and have a trip planned to Ireland for this September. Please contact me via my e-mail and we can correspond. I look forward to your reply. Also, we have another Kilker "cousin" who lives in France, Jery Kilker, who has even more information on Kilker's in the United States than I do.
