Hi Jery,

I've been following the Kilker forum and noticed you seem to be pretty knowledgeable about the family name. I posted an earlier message in 2003 but didn't have much info at the time. My Kilker connection is from the Belmullet, County Mayo area and is Mary Kilker, b. 1818. I have been unable to determine her parentage, but know she married James Casey, also from County Mayo, who was supposed to be a jailer in that area. Mary Kilker died in Chicago, IL in 1897, while living with her daughter, Moria,(Maria, Marie, Mary) Coughlin or Coughlan and her son-in-law, William Coughlin.

In searching the GENUKI website, it seems to indicate the Irish Kilker name is generally associated with the Mayo area. Any advice on where to look for additional information? My cousin has been to County Mayo, Ireland twice with no luck at findng additional information.

Thanks and Best Regards,

Tom Schenk
