Hi Randy
I'm an Australian Kill decended from (F) Desmond, GF Sidney Ernest, GGF John James Upton Kill and GGGF Edward Kill (End of my knowledge). I have been given two suggested roots to the name ie German as you've indicated and Northern area of England. Some references that I don't have on hand state the "English/Celt" meaning for the name is "Church" or as another text stated "Place of Saints".

I am really keen to follow my Edward Kill back further. He was born in Bath 29 October 1825 and married Susannah Upton on 5 September 1848 at Halberton Devonshire. Would love any leads.

Regards Dave
