Your Robert W. Killebrew is likely the son of Buckner Killebrew Jr. b abt 1803 and wife unknown. The other siblings were Mary E., Reuben B., Margaret Ann, Mehalia, George B., Edith O., John and James Killebrew.

Buckner Jr. was son of Buckner Killebrew b 11 Apr 1753 Edgecombe Co. NC d 15 Jul 1824 Montgomery Co. TN and his wife Mary Whitfield, daughter of Wm Whitfield Sr. of Lenoir Co. NC. They were married abt 1784 in Dobbs (later Lenoir) Co. NC and resided in adjoining Duplin Co. On 27 Jul 1804 Buckner's brother, Glidwell Killebrew, also from Edgecombe, patented land in Christian Co. KY and on the following 19 Nov Buckner also patented in Christian Co. KY. By the 1820 census Buckner was in nearby Montgomery Co. TN were he died in 1824.

Buckner and Glidwell were two of six sons of Robert Killebrew b 1723 Surry Co. VA d 1786 Edgecombe Co. NC and his wife Agnes Adams.

Hope this helps.

Connie Fisher
