1840 1/18 (date of newspaper) Churchwell Killebrew to Mary, dau. of S. P. Jenkins, January 7.
1762 Oct. John Skinner of Edgecombe Co. to Robert Killebrew of same, for £75 Virginia money a tract of 50 acres on the north bank of Tar river at the mouth of the Great Branch adjoining Belcher, it being part of a tract conveyed to said Skinner by James Williamson by deed bearing date May 22, 1755. Wit: Alex. Hobby, William Dinkins. Edgecombe Co., NC Deed Book 1, p. 486.
There are several more deeds where Robert bought land or sold land in 1766-1768. In one he is listed as "Robert Killebrew, tailor".
1770 Aug. 6. Robert Killebrew of Edgecombe Co. deed of gift to his children, for love and affection the following property: (1) to son, Caleb, the plantation bought of Thomas White; also, one horse, bridle, and saddle; (2) to son, Joshua, the plantation whereon he then lived and his own horse; (3) to son Buckner, all of his land on the east side of the mill branch, together with the water grist mill standing thereon; (4) to son Gildwell, livestock; (5) to son Robert, livestock; (6) to son, Lawrence, three horses and furniture; (7) to daughter Mary, furniture; (8) to daughter, Elizabeth, furniture; (9) to daughter, Srarah, furniture. Also, to his son, Lawrence, he gave the land that he purchased of John Brown. To his sons, Caleb and Joshua, he gave the remainder of his estate. Wit: Daniel Stringer, Jas. Gray. Joshua Killebrew, native of England, was at one time representative from Edgecombe Co. to the State Legislature. His son, George Washington Killebrew, was father of Churchwell B. Killebrew, b. Mar. 8, 1818 and d. Oct 26, 1889.
