Edgecombe County NC Killebrews

I am looking for information possibly linking the Killebrews in Edgecombe County, NC back to England. My line is William (Isle of Wight County, Va.)-Robert-Caleb-Joshua-Emily-James Franklin-John Thomas Sr.-John Thomas Jr.-John Thomas III (me).

Best I can tell first record of William in Isle of Wight county Virginia is 1717. I've found many records of Killebrews in England in 1500s and 1600s, but no apparent link to William (suspected to have been born in Cornwall in 1690).

I would appreciate anything of substance.
thanks,
Tommy Killebrew
