Wes Killebrew m. Martha "Patsy" Swails, b. 1774/1800, dau. of Joseph Swails and Eliz. Booth. His Aunt Mince (Minie) Arrington bequethed "to West Killebrew (her) nephew" all her cattle, sheep and plantation tools and a shot gun on her death bed on 20 Feb 1806, wit. by Benjamin and Hannah Arrington. Recorded on 25 Mar 1806. On 16 Jan 1806 John Boyd of Laurens Dist. SC sold 200 ac to West Killebrew of Liberty Co. SC for $125 on north side of Lynches Ck. orig. granted to Sutton Byrd 7 Aug 1786. Signed William Boyd, Margret Boyd wife of Wm. Boyd. Wit. Benj. Arrington, Sr., Benj. Booth, Oshea Byrd. Rec. 25 Mar 1806. On 7 Aug 1807 Benj. Arrington Sr. of Marion Dist. SC sold to West Killebrew of same place 5 negroes: Sam, Betty, Jim, Aleck, Peter, and 1 bed and furniture for $1,000. Signed Benjamin Arrington. Wit. James Lee, Gideon White and Wiley Hatchell. Rec. 31 Mar 1808. West Killebrew was listed as "my grandson West Killebrew" by Benj. Arrington, Sr. in his will dated 24 Aug 1808. He was listed in the debtors booklet from an unidentified Cheraw District Equity suit, Jan. 1822, later filed in the Darlington Equity Miscellaneous Compartment (The Darlington Flag, v. 9, no. 4, p. 24, pub. Fall 1997).
