Leslie, I am Michael DeWitt McCown (1945) of Dickinson, Texas. My ancestor was Mark Killelea (1787-ca1836/7) who emigrated from Ireland through New York and New Orleans to Texas 1n 1834. He was one of the Colonists of the Irish Colony of San Patricio in South Texas established in 1830. I would like to correspond with you concerning the genealogy and history of our Killeleas. Mark was born in Galway and his daughter Rose (my GG-grandmother) was born in County Roscommon.

My wife and I made a two week research trip to Ireland in August 2007 but had very little luck on finding information on my Killeleas.
