Thomas, Did your grandfather Thomas Killilea die in Ireland or did he come to the US ? There appear to be several Killelea "clans". There is no dispute that most are linked to Galway. I forget but I think in a 1850's census or Griffith's valuation there was a John listed as living in Galway. There is Edward Killelea from the Kiltormer Four (Australian Killelea's), Texas Killelea's, UK Killelea's, Boston Killelea's, and us decendant of James/Patrick/Ann/Michael/John Killelea that came to Illinois in the mid-late 1840's. They seem to all be linked to Galway. My second cousin Patrick Killelea says us make Killelea should all have the same DNA. I know of some neat website on the Killelea's if you are interested.
