Sorry I can't prove your connection, but I am a descendent of Henry Killen, who married Sarah Houston. I have him as born in 1792, which would match what you have. On one census record (1850), it records him as a farmer born in NC. You may have that already, but wanted to share.

As a side note, I emailed an attorney in Ireland with the last name of Killen, who responded that "Killen" is a derivative of a word meaning "church."
