Mittie Killen
Posted by: Pamela Ford (ID *****8136) Date: June 23, 2005 at 12:23:17
  of 473

Yesterday, I was in Corsicana, Navarro Co., Texas and found an original marriage license for Mittie (aged 21) and Jas A. Seale (aged 24). The license was issued 1/13/1874 and they were married 1/25/1874, by J. A. Ward (no designation given). The license was filed 2/1/1874. Record page 144

Jas. A. Seale is James Asa Seale, my gg-Grandfather. This license was a real shock, because James Asa married my gg-grandmother, Laura Alice Wells on 11/22/1877. None of us had any idea he had been married previously.

I found Killen's in Navarro Co. as early as 1856, but so far, have not been able to track them down on the census.

If you have any information on Mittie, please contact me. I would like to have information on her lineage.

Thank you
Pam Ford
