CENTERVILLE, Ind. -- Roy A. Killen, age 91, of Centerville, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at Pinehurst Village.

He was born Dec. 2, 1915, in Richmond to George L. and Elizabeth Worley Killen.


Roy was a graduate of Centerville High School and was a World War II 85th Army Air Force veteran.

He retired from Ford Motor Co. as a roving engineer after 27 years. He moved to Charlotte, N.C., in 1960 and returned to Centerville in 2007.

Survivors include his brother, Charles L. Killen of Centerville; nieces; nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria L. Lacalmita Killen, who died Aug. 18, 2005; his parents; sister, Bernice White; and two brothers, Harold and James Killen.

A graveside service for Roy A. Killen will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2007, at Crown Hill Cemetery with Pastor Stephen Abernathy officiating. There will also be a memorial service conducted by the Wayne County Veterans Memorial Council. There will be no public calling. Mills Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., Centerville, is in charge of the arrangements.
