Robert KILLIPS b. Mar 17 1821 in Ballyware, Ireland, married Sarah Elizabeth SHAW in Waukesha, Wisconsin USA on Feb 24 1843. Their children were: Charles Henry, b. May 24 1844; Harriet Adaline, b. Nov 13 1847; Robert; Frances Sydney, b. May 23 1851; George Eugene Sylvanus b. May 24 1854; William Edgar Lionel, b. Apr 1 1857; John Albert Grant, b. Nov 24, 1863. Robert and his wife and children were living in Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin, USA at the time of the American census of 1850, and 1860. Robert's widow was living there at the time of the 1880 census, as were two of her sons, then married.

Our direct ancestor, Duane Henry BAGLEY married Harriet A. on Sep 3, 1868 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, USA. Duane was the father to two boys, Charles Ellery, b. Mar 10, 1871, and John A., b. Sep 10, 1873 in Michigan, USA. Since we don't know what happened to Harriet or when she died, we don't know whether she was the mother of Charles and John, or if their mother was Duane's widow, Martha (nee SMITH), who applied to the court in Oct. of 1876 to be named legal guardian of the boys at the death of their father, Duane. She said she was their mother, and John believed her to be his mother at his marriage. We've found no record of her marriage to Duane, and no record of Harriet's death. Does anyone know anything about this particular family of KILLIPS that might provide a clue?
