As I have since learned, James(the first of my family) was born on the Isle of Man and migrated to the US in 1873. It's possible that Julia born 1856 was actually his wife and that James Jr was born over seas. James Sr was alive for the 1900 census living with my ggrandfather John and his youngest brother. They lived in Kansas City Missouri at the time. The sons place of birth is listed as Kansas.
