I realized after, that it was probably referring to "Coroner Thomas A. Killip was called to the scene...."

I've seen that statement over and over again from about 1907 through the 20's. There is even mention of him being very ill with typhoid fever in 1915.

I have the article about his sudden death that one of my relatives clipped out of the paper. Unfortunately, there is no date that I can find. Luckily I live in Rochester, so it shouldn't be too hard to find more information.
