Hi Danny,
From the Isle of Man, I offer you a huge welcome to the big world-wide Killip family.
Your Thomas, brother of Boyer, did not migrate to NZ - he raised a big family and died in Nebrasksa.
There were a large number of Thomas Killips at that time, one of whom left Liverpool for New Zealand where he is the ancestor of nearly all of the Kiwi Killip families, but is unlikely to have a common ancestor with you later than 1800 when your ancestors were in Castletown and the NZ ancestors were in Douglas - to my knowledge, neither branch of the family have been traced back earlier than 1800 - however I would be happy to be proved wrong on this!
