...and, if it fits, there is mention of a Thomas Killip, Boot and Shoemaker in Duke Street, Douglas in 1823, published as part of Pigot's New Commercial Directory of Scotland 1825.
No such business is mentioned for Douglas or Onchan in Pigot's 1837 Directory.
