Hi Martin,

I have been looking for Boyer Killip in the Isle of Man without success - are you sure he was born here and on the date you quote? If you are - do you have any ideas about other names he may have been born with - Boyer may be a name he adopted.

You may be right in the family/friend links side of migration. Isabella came from Castletown - there was a Thomas Killipp born in 1841 (26th May 1841 to William Killip and Eleanor Fargher) in Castletown - perhaps Boyer was one of his brothers or cousins?
