Ian:There is some mystery about William Killip's children.
The IGI lists a marriage for William Killip to Elleanor Bridson on 12 Apr 1841 in Malew. No children, however, show E. Bridson as their mother. Thomas and Radcliff show their mother only as Elleanor. If you are right about Elleanor Fargher being Thomas' mother, then in all probability, Thomas Killip chr.26 May 1841, Edward Fargher chr.28 Feb 1844, Radcliff Bonnyman Killip chr.9 Apr 1845, Boyer Killip born 1 Apr 1847, and Andrew Fargher chr.4 Oct 1848 are all children of William Killip and Elleanor Fargher, who thus may never have been married, and the surname (Killip or Fargher)was chosen depending on the way the wind was blowing that year.
