Hi Traci,

I live in the Isle of Man so might be of help if you could trace your roots back here.

Have you nothing else that might help - where they lived, rumours about occupations, siblings, grandma always said we came from the Isle of Man, rumours about emmigration etc etc?

How sure are you about the 's' at the end of the surname - there are a few 'Killips's, some of whom have a long genealogy and some of whom appear to be recent corruptions of Killip. There are many more 'Killip's. There are a few other posters here who have Killip (rather than Killips) family in Illinois and Canada from 1850 onwards - they might be able to help - but any more information would give you a better chance.
