Ian,
Further to fax you sent me re John/Emma Bodie. John's father Thomas was listed as a Shoemaker.

I have a copy of marriage cert of Thomas Killip and Hannah Sawden (my ggg grandfather), it states on it that his father Thomas was a Shoemaker and I think it also say's he was 'dead" at the time of the marriage (1843). I have only just figured the above info out as it has been hard to read but I am sure now that is what it states. This marriage was also in Liverpool.

As you may recall I have been trying to tie up John who married Emma Bodie 1852 with my family in Liverpool mid 1800's. Not to be confused with John who married Emma Braide in 1864.

While nothing conclusive comes from the above it does seem to be a close thing that both John and Thomas have a father Thomas who was a Shoemaker. Both also married in Liverpool. I have a jpeg of the "Shoemaker" entry you are welcome to see, or in fact a complete copy of the cert.

Larry Killip
