Killman Family Genealogy Forum
GOSH....I don't know. My grandmother never talked about her parents so don't know if he was called Henry or not. He is listed as William H. (I assume Henry) Killman on most documents I have found. He m Mary Jane McGinnes (McGinnis) 5 May 1881 in Baltimore. Children were Cecelia b 1886, Florence (my Grandmother) b 1888, William H. b 1890, Male child b 1891, Molly b.? & John b. 1895. Mary Jane d in 1900. They were living at 315 S. Chester St. Baltimore at that time.
I have a 1922 death certificate for Wm. H. Killman that I believe is his. It states his wife is Sophia Killman; father unknown and mother Mary Gymanan. Information was supplied by Sophia. Have not been able to find a marriage for Wm & Sophia and my grandmother never mentioned a stepmother but?? Also, have not been able to find a Gymanam family. Wm & Mary Jane were buried at Holy Cross Cemetery off Harford Rd. in Baltimore. Their bodies were later moved to Woodlawn Cemetery (another interesting story).
I guess it is possible that Wm was called Henry. Thanks for this information. This is the best lead I've had on this family.
I plan to get up to MD Archives next mo. to work on this some more. Let's do keep in touch. Arlene
