Try Rockingham Co.

According to Victor Barnett Kilman & Earl Lewis (both Deceased) who researched Killman/Kilmans 15-30 years ago,---"Several families of Methodist background moved from Dorchesrer Co. Md. to Rockingham Co. NC and settled during the 1780's and 1790's along Little Troublesome Cr. and along the headwaters of Wolf Island Creek. They formed 3 churches...." (near present day Reidsville).
Hope this is of help
Jack Harris
