Kilman/Killman/Kilmon/Killmon,etc. spellings information.

I would like to pass on some information on various spellings for Kilman/Killman/Kilmon/Killmon,etc surname(s).

In March of this year Randall Killman of Clay Co. Tn. told me an interesting story. He had (proven) RELATIVES that spelled their name KILMAN, KILLMAN, AND KILMON.

He did interviews for his genealogy with elder members of each family and asked whey they spelled their name differently. In effect, they said "their parents did not spell so when they went to school the teacher would WRITE THEIR NAME ON BLACKBOARD and teach them how to spell their last name"--- so---

"They spelled their name the way their teacher taught them."

Jack
