Expanding on my neice's message:

As far as my sister Anne and I have been able to discover, there's no evidence for any Irish blood in Joyce's veins. That doesn't mean it isn't there - we just couldn't find it. I just re-read Dad's chapter that Maizie mentioned, and he says basically the same thing.

The closest I could come is that some of Annie Kilburn (Kilmer)'s English ancestors may have lived in Ireland for a while.
