Isabel, Kansas - Fern Josephine Hamilton, 95, died August 28, 2002, at Wheatland's Health Care Center, Kingman, Kansas.

Funeral services were held Friday, August 30, 2002 at Larrison Mortuary in Pratt, Kansas. Burial at Isabel Cemetery.

She was born November 17, 1906, in Rural Kingman County, Kansas the daughter of Chandler Seymour and Vivian Viola (Hanley) KILMER. An Isabel area resident most of her life, she was a homemaker.

She was a member of Isabel United Methodist Church, Rebekah Lodge, Order of Eastern Star, an Extension Homemaker Unit, and Stitch and Chatter Club.

On January 3, 1929, she married Harel Henry Hamilton at Turon, KS. They farmed near Isabel most of their married life. He died July 25, 1980.

Survivors include two sons and two daughters; eleven grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 3 great - great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; stepmother, Ada Pauling Cook Kilmer; brothers, Orville, Don, Glenn and Donnie; sisters, Blanch Kilmer, Fairy Hatfield and Nina Dolbow.
