When the Kilmer's came to the US, most ended up in southeast NY -- my direct line came up from Columbia County to Cayuga County (Auburn area) back around 1800 but I know that a number of them ended up in the Capital region as well as the Mohawk Valley, etc -- and subsequently moved to the midwest US. I've had some contact with some distant cousins in the Washington County region of New York.....but the emphasis is on distant. I'm actually in Florida for 30 years now and rarely get back to NY; most of my immediate family has passed on now or moved away from the upstate area. Sorry this isn't more helpful to you.

Nelson
