Philip Kilmer arriving in N..Y., U.S. 1710

Hi, My name is Terry Macy and I am the great-granddaughter of William and Angelic Kilmer. William was the son of Augustus Kilmer of Binghamton, N.Y. I'm trying to track my ancestry and learned that Augustus was the son of Daniel Kilmer, who was the son of John l, who was the son of Johannes Kulmer(John Kilmer), who was the son of another Johannes (George), who was the son of Philip Kelmer. Philip arrived in the country in 1710. This is my understanding so far. My question is: does anyone know the ancestory of Philip Kelmer before he arrived in the U.S? I know he was from Germany, and migrated to England, but I don''t know who his parents are or where they lived. Someone on one site said that Philip might not have been the father, but George. I found another site that talked about George in Germany. Is this really where my ancestry begins?
