The Charles Kemberling and George Colbert cottages located on Poplar run, between Newry and Puzzletown, were the scenes of the Kemberling reunion on Monday, Sept. 2, when the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the late Samuel and Margaret Kemberling gathered for an enjoyable outing together.The late Mr. and Mrs. Kemberling formerly resided in Hollidaysburg.
The day was enjoyable for everyone.Those attending were Mrs. Lurie Merriman, Mr. and Mrs. Earl McBride and son Earl, Mr. and Mrs. William Brener, all of Ellwood City; Mr. and Mrs. George Colbert and daughter Lillian, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Stewart and son Harvey Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kemberling, Mr. and Mrs. Treese, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bice and daughter Virginia, all of Hollidaysburg.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kemberling and children Thelma, Robert, Betty, Richard, Ray and George, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kemberling and children Buster, Audrey and George, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Kemberling and children Gene, Donald, Joan, Edward and Paul, all of Altoona; Mr. and Mrs. Ted Kemberling and daughters Doris Jean and Joyce Ann of Lewistown.
Also attending the reunion was a sister of Mrs. Margaret Kemberling, Mrs. Minerva Herring, aged 82, who was present with a daughter, Mrs. Harris, a granddaughter, Faye and her son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Lefford Herring.
