Elias maybe in my tree. The years fit as being related to maybe his Uncle Luke. I do not have any brothers listed for Luke at this time but Elias could be related to the Kimbrel's from South Carolina. Luke brought his family over in 1830 from Spartanburg. Dig a little there to. I'll be looking for him in my research for you as well as I search for mine. Luke served in Smith Legion Civil War. The information I have for Elias S. Private in Infantry Battalion, Smith Legion, Georgia Volunteers, May 12, 1862. Transferred to Company K, 65th Regiment Georgia Infantry, March 1863; to Company I, March 13, 1863 at Loudon, Tennesse, Captured. Paroled at Augusta, Georgia, May 18, 1865. Pension records state he died in service June 27, 1864.
