John H. Kimbrell - SC to GA

I'm still trying to climb the brick wall of my gggf and his wife: He was John H. Kimbrel(l), born about 1820 - 1825 in SC, and died about 1865 - 1870 in GA. The "H." could be for Harrison or Hamilton, possibly, since that name recurrs in my ggf and gf. He married Rhoda Rice, who was probably at least part Cherokee. Moved to N. GA and raised his family there. It is POSSIBLE that his parents were Leonard and Priscilla Kimbrell of NC, who (I believe) later moved to York Co., SC. The reason I think this is possible is that John H. named one of his sons Leonard C. (maybe Caleb....that's just a hunch). John and Rhoda's children were: Margaret (1849), Lucinda (1851), Amanda (1853), Leonard C. (abt 1855), Sarah (1857), Martha (1861), Fanny (1863), and John Harrison (abt 1866). I haven't been able to nail down the names of Leonard and Priscilla's children so I can't be sure. The Lucinda that crops up periodically MAY be from Lucinda Adams: I am connected there thru my Merritt and London lines and seem to see Lucinda's everywhere, so that's a maybe. Does ANYONE have any info on him, or on Leonard and Priscilla's lines? Thanks!!! Patricia (Pat) Kimbrell Burkett (pkimbrellp@netscape.net)
