Kimbrell and James connection, Ala? - Miss. bef. 1850

In trying to connect anyone to my great-grandfather, who was b. abt 1851 maybe in Miss. (Monroe K? James?) with a bro. Andrew James b. 1849, connect. to some Browns possibly, all names were in household of female B. A. James, 1860, Lexington, Miss. Could the K stand for Kimbrell from possibly Ala. at some point? Kimbrells were involved in the Creek massacre earlier near Ft. Mims, Ala.
