Hello Petra,My maiden name was Gertrude kimmerly, but my dad said that it could have been Kimmerle, originally. The family came to the US about 1850. They may have been from Baden. The town "Stuttgart" is in my memory.
Some stats: grpa-Francis-1856-1918, b.US
gr. grpa-Alexander-b.abt.1828,Ger.-d.1868,USA. in Germany
My father's name was George Alexander Kimmerly,b,USA.,1895
I noticed that you offered to do some searching in your town. I wonder if you have access to my family's records. If so, I would be very happy to reimburse you for any thing you could do.
I would appreciate any hints as to how and whom I could contact for help. Thank you! Gert Kimmerly Gray
