My father was born in Newark, NJ, the son of Gustav Ludwig Kimmerle and Catherine Jaeckel in 1912 approx. He had two brothers, Arthur and George. My father's name was Herbert Wilcox Kimmerle. That's about all I know of the family except supposedly we are somehow related to George Rapp. I remember during WWII, when I was a v. young child, my parents sent packages to Germany: coffee, stockings, and I don't know what else. Actually I, then, couldn't understand why anyone would want a box of coffee. In exchange a relative there, an artist, sent paintings. The paintings are still in the family but I don't have any of them. I can find the name of the artist from a sister if anyone is interested.
