Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum

Dear Rev. Dupree, I am descended from Martin Kinard, who eventually settled and died in Floyd County, Georgia. His daughter, Catherine H. Kinard was my great great grandmother. She married George W. Varner. They settled and died in Sumter County, Georgia. If you would be interested in having my compilation on that branch of our family history, I'll be happy to send you what I have. I have my files compiled in Family Tree Maker v. 10. I can export them as .FTW or GEDCOM files or as Rich Text Format (.RTF) files, which can be opened in almost any word processing program (indentation format preserved, but no relational data base structure). If you wish me to send you a copy of these files, I suggest that they be attached to an email, as the file structure does not come through well when pasted directly into an email. I'm planning a trip to the South Carolina Archives in Columbia to try to document my connection to Martin's father, John. Have you any information that would facilitate my search there? Thanks, Lou
