My ggg-grandmother Lenore Gibson had a grandson named Rufus Kinnard Gibson. The family came from Sumter County, South Carolina. They left there about 1840 and settled in Pike County, AL. I would think that the name Kinnard was a family name and I am trying to tie into a Kinnard family in that area in SC about 1820.
