Could Be Same Person...Kincaid

I have a Joseph P Kincaid b.abt 1846 in my family line.I believe that a Preston Kincaid that joined the Union Forces during the Civil War in 1863 in Jasper,Newton Co,Arkansas is the same person,he would have been the same age of the Joseph P Kincaid...his parents were bushwacked and murdered not long after the Civil War ended..this oral history was passed down by his younger brother which was my great grandfather James B Kincaid b.1858 Arkansas and it was also told by James that the older sons or son was off fighting in the Civil War which I now believe to be Joseph P Kincaid and I believe Preston Kincaid and him to be one and the same....IF THERE IS ANYONE THAT WOULD HAVE ANY INFO ON A Joseph P Kincaid or Preston Kincaid or believe to have them in their family line I would greatly appreciate any help or info...Thank You!!
