Kincaid/Largent tie

Stumbled on the following and would like any additional info that can be provided regarding the individuals involved.

From the Daily Journal, 27 May 1893, page 1, col. 5

"Eloped with the Hired Man"

Crawfordsville, Ind. May 26

"Mrs. Frank Kincaid, the wife of a wealthy suburban stock man, eloped Wednesday night with John Largent, who has been in the employ of Kincaid. Mrs. Kincaid is highly connected, accomplished and cultured, while Largent is unlearned and is so inferior in every respect that her action is almost beyond belief. The fleeing couple are supposed to have gone to Iowa and the deserted husband started for the West in pursuit. He threatened to shoot Largent on sight."

I have located 2 more renderings of the same account but nothing about the final result.
I do not know which John Largent this was but would like to learn that. He may have been unlearned and inferior but must have been quite dashing.

If this is the Frank Kincaid I think it is he was married at least 3 times and this Mrs. was probably Eva Eshelman.

I have not been able to find a Frank Kincaid in the census that was listed as a stock man.

I am sure this was quite the scandal back then but now over one hundred years later I find it to be very intriguing.
Probably not part of my line but will be entering it in my database.

Thanks for anything.
Randy Largent
