Kincannon/Stewart

Hello. Found a Land Grant issued 15 Nov 1798 in Washington County, VA. for 200 acres on Lick Branch, a branch of the North Fork of the Holsten River, adjoining Michael Halfacres settlement survey. Grantees were James Kincannon and Thomas Stewart. I have been at a dead end on my Stewart/Stuarts for many years. My 4th Great-Grandpa Thomas Stewart/Stuart (born ca 1804 VA) and family, in the 1850 Smyth County, VA. census (taken partly from Washington County). There next door neighbor was Francis Kincannon (born ca 1796 VA). I am now wondering if there is a blood connection to the Kincannon family. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Dick Gault (email me at dickiegault@aol.com)
