I found your posting interesting, as I descend from both the Kincannon and Stuart families of Washington county. Certainly there were some connections between these two families. My great great great grandmother was Nancy Agnes Stuart (Stewart), who was born on November 4, 1778, married in Washington County to John Smyth on September 18, 1800, and died in Washington County on December 16, 1851. Her husband's parents were Jonas Smyth and Mary Kincannon (daughter of Francis Kincanon).
To date I have been unable to establish who Nancy Agnes Stuart's parents were - like yourself I have hit a brick wall on the Stuart line. I imagine in some fashion my Nancy Stuart was realted to your Thomas Stuart. Any ideas?
