Debbie,You are talking about the Cornelius who was Old Cornelius' grandson. What you say about the younger Cornelius is correct. But the original question in this thread was about the elder Cornelius (who, by the way, never has his name spelled "Kincheloe" -- make sure your records get this right: he spelled his name Kinselloe, Kinshello, and Chenshello! see my "Kincheloe Origins" at www. kincheloe.com) This elder Cornelius, the earliest documented family member in America, is not recorded in the death records of the old church in Richmond County, VA. The present-day church is not the current "old church site." The old church site is abandoned, covered with brush. The old grave yard was not kept up. I have no reason to believe that Cornelius was buried at the church, however, since his death recird is not in the church records. I believe he is buried on the 100 acres he owned after 1695. The location is about 1/4 mi south of the courthouse. See my book on this location -- part of the book is on www.kincheloe.com.Look for the Cornelius link.Write me if you are curious. I have specialized in Richmond County research for the years up to 1759, when the last early Kincheloe record appears.
