Kindel isn't one of my lines, but I am interested in the Indiana Kindel family whose daughter Rosy Ellen ( Ella ) married my g'grandfather Dr. John Blankenshipof Maryville, TN. She was his 3rd wife and they married a few months after his second wife died and left him with 3 small children. During the Civil War, Dr. John was in the 3rd Tn Union Infantry as Asst. Surgeon. From his pension records I know that he spent time in IL and maybe IN recuperating from severe illness and I womder if there could be a connection with the Kindels there .I have a copy of an affadavit giving the family births of the children of Issac Kindel and Delila Tappy Kindel( parents'names from Ella's death certificate). Delila was b. in 1818 and Ella was the youngest child, b. in 1864. Although Ella and Dr. John had no children of their own, older relatives have told me that she was a wonderful, loving mother to those 3 children, the oldest of whom was my grandfather. If anyone is interested in a copy of the Bible listing of births, I'd be glad to send a copy. Also , I have a copy of a newspaper article about Ella's brother Andrew Jackson ( A. J. ) inventing a piano truck. Ella was such a loving mother , that I just want to honor her memory by offering this info to anyone from her line, or anyone who is interested. If anyone knows anything about her family, I'd be interested in receiving that info. Becky
