Received the following on my Rudolph and son Daniel Kindig. The following information came from the records of the Shreve, Bigelow and Moorehead Methodist Churches. This is what pertaining to Rudolph. "Kindig is now (july 12 1878) the oldest living member of the Biglow Society. He was born in York County Pa. near Little York , Oct 5, 1803. Moved with his father to Cumberland Co. Pa. in 1807. In June of 1831 he moved to Ohio, stopped one year at Millbrook and in the spring of 1832 settled on the farm where he now resides. He was converted and united with the M. E Church Oct 8 1827 and was united in marriage to Nancy Munhall in December of the same year. He united by letter with the Millbrook Society when he came to Ohio and two years after was attatched to the clap at Hollipeters. Mrs Nancy Kindig was born in Cumberland Co. Pa 1802 and died January 9, 1858. Father Kindigs house for many years was the preaching place and since his first cabin was erected in 1832, he furnished a home for the weary itinerant" Nancy Munhall was the sister of James Mulhall. He originally owned the farm next to your Rudolph. John S Mulhall was James' son. Land records show Rudolph and James both bought their land late in 1831 and I believe they may have traveled from Cumberland Co. to Ohio together. Thanks to Sharon from Erie PA for this.
